CALDOR - Josh Daiek
Description goes hereThe summer of 2021 turned California into an inferno. Years of relentless drought culminated in the largest wildfires in the state's history. The Caldor Fire ravaged the Sierra Nevada, destroying homes, ski resorts, and everything in its path. As the fire closed in on Lake Tahoe, professional skier Josh Daiek and the local community were forced to abandon their homes and possessions. No one could have foreseen the extent of the destruction or the profound impact the fire would have on their lives. A year later, just as the community began to recover, tragedy struck again, leaving Josh to grapple with renewed loss and uncertainty. This film delves into the heartache of saying goodbye to your home, cherished friends, and the beloved forest that served as your playground.

"Elemental" - Whistler Blackcomb
In the Sea to Sky Region, the mountains experience slow, imperceptible growth, rising just a few centimeters each year. This gradual geological transformation often goes unnoticed, as erosion keeps pace with the upward thrust. But the forces pushing up the mountains are still active. The mountains here are not merely static monoliths but rather living, breathing entities. With a past of rumbling volcanoes and cracking glaciers, earthquakes and landslides, it’s the most dynamic geology in all of Canada. When these geological features meet snow filled coastal storms - it's no wonder why this region is a natural haven for some of the world's most passionate, thrill seeking, adventurous skiers and snowboarders.
A place now for all: the elements of the region have the power to move people. A landscape under constant evolution and influenced by the connection we have with these legendary mountains.Executive Producers | TELUS & Whistler Blackcomb

"23.4 Degrees"
A new film from Jeff Thomas & Anna Segal.
Journey with professional skier Anna Segal across the valleys, forests, boulder fields and mountain summits of British Columbia, as she explores her affinity with seasonal change, and the role it plays in connecting our modern lifestyle to the natural world. The ephemeral seasons that punctuate our year come courtesy of the Earth’s elliptical orbit around the sun, and the tilt of its axis—23.4 degrees. This poetically phrased short film explores the transformation of mountain landscapes and how humans are both internally and externally affected by these changes. Anna Segal, moved to British Columbia in order to ski the surrounding mountains throughout winter, but with each year has discovered that the seasons in between offer her just as much fulfilment as the winter she reveres. While skiing, hiking, running, scrambling, and climbing her way through the mountains, Anna gains a clearer understanding of the importance of predictable seasonal change and how it affects her, and the outdoor loving community she is surrounded by.

"Fixed Grip - Whistler Blackcomb
There’s a beating heart inside every mountain, and the chairlifts are the arteries that keep it alive – with laughter, friendship, passion, and pure powdery stoke. These complex systems of metal and cable connect us to the land and to each other and the primal magic of speed and adrenaline and dancing with gravity in the most beautiful playground on the planet.
In Fixed Grip, Whistler Blackcomb's latest ski documentary, the chairs are the stories; the anticipation, the excitement, the comradery, the relationships, and ultimately the access. From peak chair to après, the adventure starts and ends at the base.

"Mountain State 2.0"
Redemption. In the end, that was the objective for Mountain State 2.0. That one line had gotten the best of us and there was no way we weren't going back to give it another go. You know who had different plans? Mother nature, that's who. She turned the snow faucet on full blast and pointed it straight at Nevada, stacking up snow in the mountains in record fashion. Did we get redemption? I guess you'll have to watch to find out. Did we have some of the deepest days and ski some of the rowdiest lines we ever thought possible? You're damn right we did.
The full film, which promises even more heart-pounding action and captivating storytelling, will be released on the 17th of October. Stay tuned!

"The Bulldog" - HEAD Kore Stories
Aaron Blunck is a three-time U.S. Olympic halfpipe skier, X Games gold medalist and FIS Freestyle World Champion.
After sustaining six broken ribs, a broken pelvis, lacerated kidney and bruised heart and lung while skiing in in Switzerland, the most traumatic injury of Blunck’s career shook his wife and his family, and had him questioning if he could and would continue competing at the level he had become accustomed to. A naturally gifted freeskier, Blunck has a unique mindset when it comes to preparing for the sport’s biggest competitions. His love of solitude, storm days and skiing with like-minded individuals are often his methods of choice. Although this may seem like a foreign training approach to some, his countless podium appearances over the years are a testament to his inherent ability and pure love for the sport of skiing.
In The Bulldog, we hit the road with Blunck on a two-week, cross-country road trip, during which he recounts two-and-a-half years of ups and downs, while we discover the intricate details that make him tick, as told by his wife Morgan.

In pursuit of the endless journey to find solitude and challenging lines in the mountains, Josh Daiek finds himself smack dab in the middle of nowhere Nevada. Summiting 13,000 foot peaks, flashing steep couloirs and bagging first descents were all part of the allure, but it certainly doesn't come easy for Josh and crew.
